Fun geography and programming for children

Project goals:
– Teach the basics of programming and enable boys and girls to become active producers of new content.
– Allow young people to explore their potential and discover what they can draw for themselves from the world of software development.
– Support talents by supporting creative and divergent thinking.
– Make the geography and history of Switzerland interesting and attractive in a playful way and to motivate the exploration of the territory to better understand the world where we live.

We generated the map of Switzerland and we enriched it with buildings created by the Visualmodder porgrams. This are some of the first screenshots. This is part of the starting “SwissMC” project that will allow children to participate in the creation of a more detailed Minecraft version of Switzerland.
